First Fridays
Every Friday from 10 .am. – 11 a.m.
Join us the first Friday of every month for a special program for 3-6 year olds and their families. Museum staff lead adults and kids through exploring one of the exhibits using story, song and art making. Cost is $5 per child, free to those with family Museum memberships.
Art in Action
for kids aged 10-14
Tuesdays beginning June 16 from 3-4:30 p.m.
Youth explore pieces of art on display and then make art inspired by those objects. Friendly and energetic Museum staff lead each session. Each week provides a different exhibit-inspired artisitc endeavor! Cost, which includes all materials is $3 for Museum members and $5 for non-members.
Art Camp for Kids
for kids aged 7-12
June 22-26, 2009, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Children explore the many facets of architecture and 3D design. They will build sculptures, create installation environments, draw designs and also have fun with music and storytelling. Cost is $95 per child and includes all supplies and daily snack. Ask Museum staff about scholarships for qualifying children.
Mid-Day Art "Make"
for kids of all ages
Wednesdays beginning June 10 from 12-1 p.m.
Celebrate free Museum admission, have lunch, listen to live music and make a little art. Activities are different each week - try a small print, origami, clay sculpture and more. Free family-friendly gallery tours are given at 12 & 12:30 p.m.
ClaySpace Summer Camp
for kids 8-13
Wk. 1 July 20-24, 9 a.m.-noon, Wk. 2 July 27-July 9 a.m.-noon, Wk. 3, August 3-7, 9 a.m.-noon.
This summer camp at ClaySpace will feature a concentration on clay. Campers will learn how to throw pots on the potters wheel, create a variety of sculptures, make toys with moveable parts and explore wherever their imaginations take them! Cost is $170 ($150 for Museum members) and includes all materials.
