Annual Fund
The Erie Art Museum. It’s the place where people meet to...view great art of all kinds... celebrate cinema during the FILM Series...enjoy dance and music performances of regional, national, and international renown...participate in public art projects, such as Bike Racks, to connect the community with art...enjoy free admission on Wednesdays...help kids see through artists’ eyes' with creative educational programming and family activities every Second Sunday...take a wide variety of classes, all taught by professional artists...enjoy local and national talent at the annual Blues & Jazz Festival...grab a bite at the Wave Café...
We need your help. Every day we fulfill our mission to advance the visual arts, encourage art in all its forms, foster lifelong learning, and build community among artists, students, and the public. To maintain our nationally-recognized institution of excellence we need your financial support. Any amount you can donate helps us reach our goal of $50,000. Each dollar is critical and much appreciated.
How your dollar makes a difference:
• $1,000 allows a class from an urban, suburban, or rural school to participate in Kids as Curators, our largest school outreach program
• $500 provides a guided Museum tour for impoverished rural or inner city children
• $250 provides funding for youth or disabled adults to attend professionally taught art classes, summer camps, artist-in-residence programs, or Museum tours, free of charge
• $100 provides 20 underserved children free admission to the Museum
Making an annual fund gift above and beyond your membership dues is truly an investment in the future of the Erie Art Museum. Please support our efforts to bring quality art exhibits, educational programming, and ambitious outreach initiatives to our community.
Matching Gifts
Want to know how you can double the impact of your gift? Utilize your employer’s “Matching Gift” program! Many employers will “match” your philanthropic gift with an equal or higher amount. Companies enjoy this opportunity because it gives them a chance to use their charitable dollars towards nonprofit organizations their employees identify as important and worthwhile. If you are not sure whether or not your company has a program like this, please contact your Human Resources department.
The Erie Art Museum is eligible to receive matching funds from GE. If you are a GE employee, please make your check payable to the Erie Art Museum & call GE Matching Gifts Center at 800.462.8244.
