This Year’s Juror
Submission & Fees
Each artist may submit up to three works. Museum members pay $20 for the first submission and $10 for any additional entries; non-members pay $30 for the first submission and $20 for any additional entries. Submission fees are non-refundable.
The deadline for online registration is March 1. Registering online saves you time at drop-off. Your labels will be printed for you with the information you submitted. Registration may still be made on drop-off days.
Artists should have their artist statements prepared ahead of time for quick processing. Artist statements should answer, “Why did you make this piece? What would you like people to know about your process and/or this work?” Artist statements are required and will be displayed with your object.
Please note that entries, if accepted into the show, must be available from the day you drop-off through September 6, 2020. No accepted work may be withdrawn before the close of the show. Even though we’ll take great care of your work(s), please know that all entries are exhibited at the artist’s own risk. The Museum also reserves the right to photographically reproduce any submitted works for publicity or educational purposes. If you have questions please feel free to give us a call at (814) 459-5477.

When dropping off submissions please use the Museum’s main entrance on 20 East 5th Street. Works may also be submitted by mail. If submissions are mailed to the Museum, they must be prepaid, with a $15 handling fee and return postage. Ship works to the Attention of Torie Pesta, Erie Art Museum 20 East 5th Street, Erie, PA 16507. Deadline for registration and drop-off is Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at 4 pm.
Notification of Acceptance/Rejection
All-Day Art Sale/Pick-up
Works not accepted for the exhibition must be picked up at the Museum on either Saturday, April 4th, 2020 between 11am – 5pm or Thursday, April 9th, 2020 between 11am – 8pm. The Museum is not responsible for rejected works not picked up by April 10th, 2020. Email Torie Pesta to make arrangements if you are unable to pick up by April 10th. If you do not make arrangements and your work is not collected by April 10th, 2020 you will be charged a one-time holding fee of $25 when you pick it up.
Accepted works need to be collected within ten days of the show’s closing. The Museum is not responsible for work(s) not picked up by September 18th, 2020. Email Torie Pesta, to make arrangements if you are unable to pick up by September 18th. If you do not make arrangements and your piece(s) is not collected by September 18, 2020, you will be charged a one-time holding fee of $25 when you pick it up.
