Regional Common In-Service for Art Educators

Art Teachers! Are you ready to spend a day at the Museum and get Act 48 credits? It’s an opportunity to share best teaching and assessment practices with your peers. Plus, you get to work within the galleries and participate in art-making workshops including printmaking, sculpture, or fiber.

Our keynote speaker is Joshua Helmer, executive director of the Erie Art Museum. Get to know Josh and hear how he transformed a college art history curriculum and why.

7:45 a.m. Arrival – Bring 20 copies of a lesson plan and assessment strategy to share
8:00 a.m. Select your Workshops
8:30 a.m. Program begins
9:15 a.m. Workshops Session 1
11:15 a.m. Lunch – pack your own or visit a downtown establishment
12:15 p.m. Lesson sharing
1:00 p.m. Workshop Session 2
1:45 p.m. Workshop Session 3
2:30 p.m. Program ends
2:35 p.m. Happy Hour begins – stay and hang out with us
