Please join us for an artist talk and opening reception for Family Tree on Wednesday, May 24th at 6 pm. Two of the four sisters featured in this exhibition will be available for an open dialogue tour of the work at 6:30 pm.
As curators, painters, photographers, and writers, the sisters portray trees in social, political and environmental conditions — trees that stand as refuge and livelihood, consumed and consuming, under assault and triumphant, as historical record and as harbinger of things to come.
