Texts, emails, voicemails, social chats, and other digital messages inundate me daily, blurring the line between โin real lifeโ (IRL) and virtual connections. Technologies proclaiming to connect frequently leave me feeling isolated and overwhelmed. This installation blends recorded and live communications by projecting fragments of unanswered digital communications over physical โreturn to senderโ letters and mixing voice recordings with live feedback. My work underscores the unfulfilled longing for intimacy that digital culture amplifies. I aim to create spaces where viewers can reflect on the quality of their communications and consider intentional, authentic ways to connect in an increasingly mixed reality world.

Annaโs collection blends acrylic, pencil, and mixed media. It reimagines women through the elegance of historical fashion and the symbolism of mythology. Annaโs style centers on expressive-eyed women with sweeping lashes, whose clothing designs themselves become narrativesโsymbols of the quiet femininity and enduring strength women have carried since the beginning of time. Whimsical yet strong, the figures celebrate femininity not as passive beauty, but as presence, power, and individuality. Each work transforms the past into a dreamlike space where history, myth, and subtle feminism intertwine.

Roots, unseen beneath the surface, provide stability, nourishment, and support. What is unseen can be just as important, if not more so, than what is visible. It encourages us to appreciate the foundations that support us. We recently took the time to zoom out and look at our blended family and realized how instrumental the creative arts are in our intricate root system. Come check out 3 generations of artists expressing their creativity in a variety of ways, including textiles, acrylics, watercolors, music, and jewelry.
