Class Description
This class is suitable for beginners or those looking to advance their watercolor skills. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of watercolor painting, exploring basic techniques and concepts. The course is designed to help build a solid foundation for artistic expression in this medium. Participants will learn to paint simple objects and landscapes, applying the Elements & Principles of Design to create well-composed and visually appealing artwork. Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your skills, this class will guide you through the essentials of watercolor painting in a supportive and engaging environment.

$150 for members and $160 for non-members for the full 6 week course. Members use the promo code WATER for your discount!
Students can bring their own supplies or pay a $15 material fee for shared materials. This option will be confirmed at checkout and noted on student's registration. Those choosing the $15 material fee will pay the instructor in cash on the first day of class. This class meets each Tuesdays from 6 – 8:30 pm starting May 6th to June 10th for 6 total sessions.

About The Instructor
Kim Kloecker, a graduate of Edinboro State College with high honors in Art Education K-12, discovered her passion for drawing and watercolors during her studies. Known for her versatility, she explores a wide range of subjects, techniques, and styles in her work, often saying, "So much art to create—so little time! Always good to change it up!"
With over 40 years of professional teaching and painting experience, she has earned numerous top honors in the region. As an instructor in the Special Studies Program at Chautauqua Institute, she teaches drawing and watercolor. She is also an active member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society and the Northwest Pennsylvania Artist Association (NPAA).
