Greenwood Carving

An Overview of Tools and Techniques

Class Description

Greenwood carving is a woodworking technique that involves using freshly harvested wood, which still contains moisture. This type of wood is generally easier to carve because it is softer and more pliable, making it a popular choice for creating items like spoons and other functional objects. Join Folk Artist & Wood Carver Matthew Retkowski for a 2 hour hands-on overview of the tools and techniques used in this sculptural and sustainable craft that anyone can practice.
