Parking Information

Downtown Erie is experiencing some exciting changes with new buildings and renovations. With that does come construction zones, which unfortunately will limit some street and sidewalk access around the Museum. To help safely navigate the downtown area we’ve created the following guide to access the Museum.

Street Access

July 2023 Update: 5th Street Eastbound between State and French is now open.

5th Street is closed between Peach Street and State Street, and should not be used when traveling to the Museum. French Street is also limited to one lane near the crossing of East 5th and French Street. It is recommended to use State Street to access parking. If dropping off individuals, we recommend dropping off at the Northeast corner of State Street and East 5th Street, by City Supply.

Sidewalk Access

July 2023 Update: Sidewalks on the north and south side of 5th Street between the Museum entrance and State Street are now available.

On French Street between 4th and 5th Street, we recommend only using the east sidewalk.

Parking Access

Metered Street parking is available on State Street and around Perry Square along North and South Park Row, French Street, and Peach Street. These parking options have easy access to the Museum from the west side of the entrance. Meters can be fed using quarters or via the MeterEZ app
